Year 4 at the Mini Olympics!

        Author: Bluecoat Stamford

Last Wednesday, Year 4 were incredibly pleased to have the opportunity to take part in the Mini Olympics. When we arrived, we were greeted by musicians and dancers and shortly after we walked out into the stadium to applause from the crowd. We loved all the different sports we got to try out, including hockey, bocce and wheelchair racing!

Even more amazing was that we got to meet some famous athletes and Paralympians. We got their autographs which was particularly special and memorable!     The closing ceremony was a fantastic way to end the way… an athlete showed off their impressive football skills and we all took part in a group dance routine we’d learnt earlier on in the day. As we left, we were cheered on by all the sports coaches and athletes, so that really was an incredible way to end the day!
