        Our digital footprint

        Author: Bluecoat Stamford

This week, year five have been learning about e-safety and our digital footprint. We thought about what our digital footprint was and how it can easily build. We also learnt about how everything we do online can be traced back to us. We wrote about the good things that the internet has and also the things that we would change about the internet. We had a class discussion about how we could implement these changes to make the internet a better place for all of us.   Using this as a stimulus, we decided that we wanted to have a go at making a video for the 2018 Childsnet e-safety competition. The theme for this year is, ‘CONNECT WITH RESPECT- Be the change!’ TheĀ annual film competition encourages young people nationwide to share their love for, and interest in the internet and how to use it safely.         We worked in small groups to plan, make a storyboard, write a script, make props, film and then edit our short films using iMovie. We really enjoyed this small project, especially watching all of our short films on the big screen!
